The Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and DICAM have once again launched the International Master’s Program in “Sustainable and Integrated Mobility in Urban Regions” for the 2026–27 academic year; this program is unique in Europe due to its high strategic profile, set against the backdrop of significant innovative developments in sustainable mobility.

This Level II Master’s program aims to train specialists in the planning and management of urban and regional mobility in the road, rail, and airport sectors. This role fits into a global innovative framework that is strongly focused on the practical implementation and improvement of new sustainable mobility services through the use of “big data” in planning.

In particular, the following roles will receive specialized training:
- Project managers for projects and maintenance of infrastructure assets in cities, metropolitan areas, and municipal associations, with a particular focus on green and eco-friendly materials to promote recycling in line with the CAM framework;
- Mobility managers for cities, public bodies, and businesses who are capable of utilizing and leveraging innovative techniques for transportation management.

Admission is open to holders of all Master’s degrees in Engineering. Master’s degrees in scientific, technical, and economic fields that are deemed equivalent are also accepted, subject to approval by the Master’s Program Faculty Board. In-person and/or blended learning sessions are scheduled from February 2027 to May 2027 on Thursday afternoons, Fridays (all day), and Saturday mornings at the Palazzo Vespignani in Imola and the Enzo and Dino Ferrari International Racetrack in Imola.  From May to September 2027, the internship program (“Project Work”) will take place at some of the largest companies actively involved in the future transformation of mobility. These include: the Emilia-Romagna Region; Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport S.p.A.; TPER S.p.A.; the Institute for Transport and Logistics Foundation; CTI Imola; and Iterchimica.

The Master’s program will be organized into 12 modules and taught in English.
The tuition fee is €3,000.00, and the program awards a total of 60 university credits. Five scholarships of €1,500 each are currently available. The application deadline is November 23, 2026.
