We are proud to announce that in 2024 the Department boasts 23 active patents. This tangible data testifies to our ability to generate new technologies, processes, systems and innovative and sustainable products, transforming knowledge into value for society. The mission of the Department, in fact, is to contribute to the progress of knowledge and social well-being through the development of innovative and sustainable processes, technologies, systems and products.
Patents are a fundamental tool for DICAM to strengthen collaborations with businesses and local authorities. They represent an effective bridge for the transfer of technology and knowledge, allowing our inventions to reach the market and generate a positive impact on the territory and on society as a whole.
Our Third Mission strategy, in fact, includes the consolidation and development of relationships with companies, also through patents, and the promotion of events of high scientific level and impact on society, aimed at the student community, companies, institutions and citizens. In this way, DICAM aims to amplify the impact of its research and training activities on the territory.
