In the context of the project proposal NICE-Italy - Evolution and Innovation of the Italian Node of ECCSEL ERIC: Continuity and Strategic Development, coordinated by OGS and in which the University of Bologna, the Politecnico di Milano, ENEA, CNR-ITAE and CNR STEMS, INGV and the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn are participating as co-proponents, a Notice of Expression of Interest has been published to solicit the participation of companies in order to promote research and innovation activities by fostering the shared use of data, services and facilities for the development of joint projects and technology transfer.
The proposal, which is currently being prepared, is being submitted in response to the Ministry of University and Research's Public Notice No. 310 of 18-03-2025 “Strengthening of Public Research Infrastructures (IRs) Operating in the S3 Scope aimed at the technological advancement of enterprises,” Action 1.1.1 of the National Research, Innovation and Competitiveness Program for the Green and Digital Transition 2021-2027 (NRP RIC 2021-2027).
The overall objective of the NICE-Italy project is to consolidate the Italian facilities that are part of the ECCSEL ERIC infrastructure, strengthening and expanding the results already achieved, with the intention of promoting the development and internationalization of research in our country in the entire CCUS (Capture, Utilization, Transport and Storage of CO₂) supply chain. Particular attention will be paid to the needs of southern Italian regions, through further strengthening of ECCSEL laboratories and the inclusion of new strategic facilities, which will expand the Italian node and strengthen its capabilities.
The documents must be submitted according to the terms defined in the notice no later than 12:00 noon on June 13, 2025.
