Geothermal energy capacity building in Egypt involves projects like the Geothermal Energy Capacity Building (GEB) Project, an Erasmus+ initiative focused on establishing an Egyptian-European network for geothermal energy development, including the creation of a new postgraduate diploma in geothermal engineering. This project enhances scientific skills of Egyptian staff, improves the competences of higher education institutions, and raises societal awareness of Egypt's geothermal resources. The initiative is a collaboration between Egyptian institutions like the New and Renewable Energy Authority and Cairo University, along with European universities and companies.
