Disposal of special waste

This service operates according to the procedure for the disposal of both Hazardous Special Waste (especially chemical and biological waste) and Non Hazardous one (iron and wood materials, hydraulic oils, waste from demolition activities, electric and electronic equipment).

The Waste Producer classifies, collects, packs up and labels waste and takes it to a local storage area.​

The Local Waste Manager then arranges the collection and storage of waste at the local storage area, provides technical support in packing and labelling when required, sets the needed documentation and sends waste to final disposal.​

Procedure for the disposal of special waste:

  1. Identification of waste
  2. Filling of the waste descriptive sheet among the activity of the research group
  3. Filling of the delivery note
  4. Labelling
  5. Transportation towards the storage area

Procedure for the disposal of other kinds of waste (contact the Local Waste Manager for reference and support):

  • Iron materials: storage at LISG laboratory; disposal on demand is free
  • Wood materials: storage at CIRI-EC laboratory; disposal on demand upon order request and fee payment ​
  • Waste from demolition activities: storage at LISG, LAS, CIRI, LASTM laboratories;  disposal on demand upon order request and fee payment
  • Hydraulic oils: storage in laboratories at DIN Department; disposal on demand is free
