Course objectives: The course aims to train technicians specialised in the management of natural risks and the design of defence and adaptation works. These figures are in great demand in the regional territory, which in recent years has been very exposed to natural events, such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, while at the same time proving to be fragile.
Addressed to: Graduates in Engineering, Architecture, Agricultural, Forestry, Environmental and Geological Sciences; Territorial Planning and Management; Geomatics; Geographical and Geophysical Sciences.
Duration: 3 months, for a total of 108 hours. In addition, there are 30 hours divided between interdisciplinary group activities and technical visits. Classes will be held on Thursday afternoons, Friday mornings and Friday afternoons.
Location: The Course will be held at Faventia Sales, in via San Giovanni Bosco, 1, Faenza (RA), a few minutes' walk from the railway station

- Embankment systems: hydrogeological risk and risk mitigation interventions (18 hours)
- Landslides: Hydrogeological risk and risk mitigation interventions (18 hrs)
- Seismic risk and risk mitigation interventions (18 hrs)
- Territory monitoring in the management of natural risks (6 hrs)
- Impacts of natural risks on the industrial sector (6 hrs)
- Impacts of natural risks on the agricultural and forestry sectors (6 hrs)
- Impacts of natural risks on transport systems and road infrastructures (6 hrs)
- Territorial planning in relation to natural risks (6 hrs)
- Legal system in the design of natural risk mitigation interventions (6 hrs)
- The course awards 23 University Educational Credits (CFU)
