E-KEROMETH aims at integrating the steam and CO2 co-electrolysis with new catalytic processes to convert waste CO2 into liquid fuels (e-kerosene for aviation use) and gaseous fuels (e-methane). The approach relies on the use of renewable energy to produce H2 and convert CO2 into CO through high-temperature co-electrolysis, achieving extremely high e-fuel production efficiencies. This increases the competitiveness of CO2-based fuels, also thanks to the use of renewable energy sources and the valorization of existing gas and liquid fuel infrastructures. The ambition of the project is to achieve an optimal coupling between the electrochemical conversion of H2O and CO2 into syngas (H2, CO, CO2) and its subsequent thermo-catalytic conversion into dedicated hydrocarbon products: e-kerosene and e-methane. The project will integrate the entire chain of the process from CO2 capture to co-electrolysis in SOEC cells, and to the conversion of CO2/CO/H2 into e-kerosene or e-methane
